libdv-bin software package provides software library for DV format digital video (sample apps), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdv-bin
libdv-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdv-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdv-bin *
You will get with libdv-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
